PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
Name: OWL Personal Portfolio Manager
Version: 4.2
First Release: 1989
Price: $45.00
Requirements DOS 2.1 or above, 640K RAM, Dual Floppy Drives
or Hard Disk
The OWL Personal Portfolio Manager (OPPM) Version 4.2 is designed to
assist users with the two related tasks of portfolio management and
technical analysis. Technical analysis features include four basic
stock charts that provide price/volume graphs with multiple moving
averages, relative strength, correlation, and momentum analysis.
Additionally, a comparative analysis of annualized yields can be
generated to identify the best performing investments. The portfolio
management features of OPPM allow users to segregate different types
of investments into individual portfolios and generate reports on any
combination of these portfolios. Version 4.2 is capable of
maintaining over 5000 securities in over 500 portfolios. Fifteen
standard reports can be customized by the user to generate on-screen
or printed reports for specified portfolios and time spans.
The ability to classify assets into separate portfolios and recombine
these portfolios as needed is an important feature which separates
OPPM from its competition. Separating taxable, tax exempt , tax
deferred and ordinary income assets into different portfolios gives
users the flexibility to generate reports for just the portfolio or
combination of portfolios they need. For instance, at tax time users
can obtain separate income and capital gains reports for their
taxable, tax deferred and non-taxable portfolios. Later, a net worth
report, combining all portfolios, can be generated to get a complete
picture of the user's net worth. With a maximum of over 500
portfolios, users are free to define additional portfolios track
market indexes, perform what-if analysis or chart the performance of
a market newsletter or broker's buy and sell recommendations.
Not just a portfolio manager, OPPM provides sophisticated technical
analysis tools which are widely used by investment professionals.
From price/volume charts with multiple moving averages to relative
strength, correlation and momentum analysis, OPPM's charting
capabilities place the information needed to make intelligent
investment decisions at the user's fingertips.
